Walk 76 on St. Patrick's Day and I shatter the 10,000 step mark with 11,148. Nice. Don't know what that means in miles or distance, but the goal is 10,000. Mission accomplished.
I set out to find a green theme for today's walk and ended up finding orange! This woman came out of her house to confront me because she thought I was taking down house numbers and wanted to know why I was taking pictures. When I told her what I was doing, not only did she take a picture of me in front of her house, she took one WITH me! LOL.. isn't life weird?
This one's for all my OSU homies back up north. Sorry folks, but Go Blue!

Hi Ed,
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog yesterday. Good for you! As you know, I did something similar last year. Making time to get outside and just walk was a delightful enterprise for me. I still do it. I hope you enjoy your year as much I enjoyed mine.
Keep it up! As for the weight loss for me, after one year? I lost around 25 pounds. But that was at the end when I was training to climb a mountain in Costa Rica. Other than that, I didn't find walking alone to be a good weight loss method. For me, I had to combine it with pushing myself away from both the bar and the table.
Anyway, I'm enjoying your blog!

Allan, thanks, I just learned how to find comments on this blog, so I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Congratulations to you also for your journey, and yes... I'm finding that walking isn't the end-all, be-all solution to weight loss. I'm working with a nutritionist friend to help me in that area as well. Thanks again for following me and your comments. And keep up your good work.
