So this is my year of walks...

Nothing fancy. It is exactly what it says it is. Over the next year, I want to take a walk every day. For an entire year. Hopefully, along my journey I can discover better health, weight loss, and a sense of direction and purpose in my life. And so my journey begins. On my way to a better me.

Walk 255 tonight is with my friend Tom Schmidt. Tom was in town to do some business, and after spending the afternoon with him, we had dinner at The Widow Brown's restaurant, and were prepared to go our separate ways when I asked him if he would like to be tonight's walk. To which he happily responded "yes". So we headed to Taylor Park in Largo.

The sun was just about setting when we began our walk along the lake, this shot was near perfect silhouette conditions.

This can almost be an early Fall shot on any lake in the country. The sun has that special angle at this time of year that illuminates landscapes like no other time of any season.

Tom is pointing out the large alligator that's cruising the lake at Taylor Park. I had never seen an alligator here and that's tonight's little miracle. Tom, you witnessed a first.
