So this is my year of walks...

Nothing fancy. It is exactly what it says it is. Over the next year, I want to take a walk every day. For an entire year. Hopefully, along my journey I can discover better health, weight loss, and a sense of direction and purpose in my life. And so my journey begins. On my way to a better me.

Tonight I made walk 168 with Mike Bansavage. He's a lifelong buddy and we talked guy stuff. We're both going through a lot of tough times right now, so we shared that on a walk. Of course there was a lot of the other stuff guys talk about too... hey, it's not ALL bad.

This is the neighborhood we walked around. Lots of big, beautiful homes and the sun now down, so it was a lot cooler. We had a good walk 2.2 miles in 43 minutes. That's the first time I averaged consecutive "under 20 minute" miles.

Reward for a walk well done: A dip in the pool. Mike has a great house and had I known I had this hideous farmer's tan, I would have never agreed to have this picture shot! LOL oh well...
