Walk 241 today happened at Millenium park in between rain storms. I'm here up on the watch tower and you see the wave of rain behind me.
The walk was a little slippery today, all the rain had made the boardwalk slick and damp. Funny thing how the trees made it continue to sound like it was raining, even when it wasn't. The breeze shaking all the raindrops off the leaves.
See what I mean?
Magical night again. On my way home from dinner and book shopping with EJ, a magnificent rainbow appeared. A lot of folks are telling me to see what this means, as rainbows have been a recurring theme in my photos. I'll be telling you more about that as I learn, but rainbows are seemingly everywhere for me these days.

Went to the Rays game tonight with one of my best friends, Marty Windsor. SHE had the Bud, I went with the Bud Light Lime.
So this was the walking part of #24o. It's actually quite a brisk walk over the parking lot, up stairs, and getting to your seat. Always better to walk with friends. Marty's one of the best.

Today was the day for walk #239, and I thought that I would be taking it with my Mom. After attending to some medical/financial meetings, I took her out to Frenchy's on Clearwater Beach, but nothing on the menu appealed to her. We ended up at Panera Bread Company and no walk.
So an opportunity presented itself to head to George McGough park in Largo, where I took a walk along the path of one of my favorite small parks.
I was shooting for a single focal point on the horizon.
This ultra-violet berry bush is called Callicarpa Americana, or American Beautyberry. This is a striking plant which bears unedible fruit which is magnificent in its color.
I still love the bark on these tall Southern Pines. Rugged and beautiful.

This is walk 235, outside of Manor Care in Palm Harbor. This is my Dad's care facility. Tonight, it's raining, so this walk will be short and functional. But still, taking time out to think about the day and clear my head.
Under the umbrella. It's been raining all day long.
This Spanish Moss tree is fantastic. And the journey continues...

Auust 22, 2010 Lindee's Birthday
This is going to sound crazy, but I took a walk tonight that I always wanted to take. And that is, to go up close to, and walk around the Seminole Water Tower. This water tower is probably 120 feet or higher, and was painted with these tropical birds in 2003. Seminole city council hated the design and wanted to redo it, but the citizens voted to keep the design, and it's stayed this way ever since.

This panoramic shows the variety of a Florida sunset in a single shot. Here is a beautiful sunset on the left and as you pan to the right, you can see some violent storms rolling in. In fact, if you click on this picture and look just to the right of center, you can see some boats racing in to try to beat out the storm. This is walk 233, and tonight, I'm on top of the Belleair Causeway Bridge.
I loved the horseshoe effect of the angle on this shot. The bridge is to the left, the walkway is in the center and on the right is a dock where locals can fish from.
